Eats Everything’s highly regarded Edible imprint returns with the excellent single ‘First Night Out’ by label friends & Pets Recordings owners Catz ‘N Dogz. The package comes complete with a remix from the label head honcho himself, Eats Everything.
The Polish duo have enjoyed a stellar and prolific career releasing credible underground house music on the world’s biggest independent labels such as Defected, Diynamic and Dirtybird, whilst also taking in remixes and collaborations with names like The Chemical Brothers, Roisin Murphy and Disclosure.
For their debut release on Edible they have delivered a track that everyone is desperate for right now, the ‘First Night Out’. The track is a classy dance floor cut of delectable underground Tech House, which leans more towards Techno than to House, with chunky driving house beats combining signature techno lead synths and background sounds topped off with an excellent vocal. This is definitely something to enjoy on the first night back in the club dancing. On the flip side there is the Eats Everything remix, and he offers up a house take on the original, by using a more refined kick whilst adding a more percussive filler to make up the beats groove, then he adds sounds which take their influence from bass, garage and house genres to create the perfect b side.

Everything Octo Octa releases is just delicious. This EP is especially important as part of the profits are going to SRLP. In an increasingly anti-trans context, uplifting and supporting trans-led orgs is of utmost importance. And you can do so by listening to great music and supporting an amazing artist! éloi

A terrific minimal house EP that strips everything back to the essentials: a faint hint of synth and a big, driving beat. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 6, 2024
Meticulously designed but not without emotional pull, Jacob Ohrberg's subtle electronic music sounds like a dream of a distant dancefloor. Bandcamp New & Notable Aug 1, 2023
